Privacy Policy

Effective 17 October 2026

Lift Library is a strength training diary for iPhone. There's no account, no server, and no analytics, ads, or tracking. This policy covers where your data is stored and who can see it.

1. Data we collect

We don't collect any data. We can't see your workouts, your Health data, or anything else you enter in the app.

2. Where your data is stored

Lift Library saves your exercises, workouts, sessions, and notes on your iPhone. If iCloud is on for Lift Library, they also sync to your private iCloud account through Apple's CloudKit, which is how they reach your other devices and come back after a reinstall. We have no access to your iCloud data. Apple's privacy policy covers it.

3. Apple Health

If you allow it, Lift Library saves finished sessions to Apple Health as strength training workouts with an effort score, and reads your heart rate, resting heart rate, active energy, and body weight to show alongside your sessions. It reads and writes Health data on your iPhone only. We never receive it, and it's never used for advertising or shared with anyone.

You can change or revoke this access at any time in the Health app or in Settings.

4. Notifications

Workout reminders and the rest timer use notifications scheduled on your iPhone. There's no push server and no device token.

5. Exports

You can export your diary as a CSV file from Settings. The app builds the file on your iPhone, and it goes only where you send it.

6. Purchases

The free trial and the unlock are in-app purchases handled by Apple. We don't see your payment details. The app checks with the App Store whether you've started the trial or unlocked the app, and that check stays between your iPhone and Apple.

7. Deleting your data

Deleting the app removes the data stored on your iPhone. To remove the iCloud copy, go to Settings, then your name, then iCloud, then Manage Account Storage, and delete the Lift Library data.

8. Children

Lift Library does not collect personal data from anyone, including children.

9. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we'll update the effective date above.
